Sol Y Luna Foundation
Sol y Luna currently provides education for 163 students at the Sol y Luna School and it also provides 14 special needs children the support they require via the Paqari project. These children (and teachers) are given healthy meals at the Sol y Luna Canteen which they would otherwise be deprived of, and there are 21 children who come from dangerous home living conditions, who are now safely living at the Sol y Luna Home. They have even sent young students who were schooled at Sol y Luna to university through their Roots & Wings programme for further education.
Where does the funding go?
- $300 covers the cost of a child’s therapy (physical or linguistic) for one month
- $500 feeds a child for a year
- $1650 covers three months of university tuition
Our Partnership
Our aim for the first year of our partnership is to raise $4,100 which will be enough to support a child through a full year at the foundation.
